The foodie community has spoken! A passionate debate of 300 foodies revealed there's clearly no shortage of amazing Italian spots in DFW (and some friendly debate about the best!), one spot kept coming up again and again - 61 Osteria. Though it's on the pricier side, foodies raved about the romantic atmosphere, exceptional service, and most importantly, the absolutely stunning food that makes it perfect for those special milestone celebrations. Close runners-up include Cafe Bella, beloved for its intimate BYOB setting and white tablecloth service, and Bocca Osteria Romano, where the Italian-trained brothers serve what many call the most authentic Italian food in DFW.

🍔 Rodeo Goat Blew Up the Facebook Foodies Group Not Too Long Ago. Best Comment Goes To…
Guys. Literally 550 comments on this post after a nice waitress who worked there was just trying to promote the restaurant after it had been slow for a few days. It’s obvious this place has struck a nerve. When I first moved to FTW 6 years ago it wasn’t 5 minutes in when someone had recommended I try this place. This is a MUST try! Very creative flavors and very reasonably priced too.
My favorite comment of all was from Val who asked, “Will he be there? 😍 asking for a friend, of course..”

🥧 Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop: “Literally the best pies I've ever had”
When it comes to satisfying your pie cravings in DFW, locals rave over Buttermilk Sky Pie Shop in Colleyville. From their buttery shortbread-like crust to their made-from-scratch fillings, these pies have earned a devoted following with both locals and pie enthusiasts alike. The shop's warm, farmhouse-chic vibe and notably friendly service (including owners Jason and Sheila) make every visit special, with many reviewers mentioning the delicious aroma that greets you at the door. When the inevitable pie debates break out in DFW foodie circles, their Southern Custard pie and Key Lime consistently come up as must-tries.

The shop offers a popular 4-pie sampler of their mini pies, perfect for trying multiple flavors. My favorite is the coconut cream pie.

🌮 Next time you’re looking for a Tex-Mex to knock your socks off
If you're looking for Mexican cuisine that goes way beyond your standard Tex-Mex fare, Don Artemio is your spot. Chef Juan Ramón Cárdenas brings his acclaimed Saltillo restaurant's legacy to Fort Worth, offering dishes that tell the story of Northern Mexico's rich culinary heritage. Everything from their tableside-prepared guacamole to their signature cabrito (kid goat) has been wowing Cultural District diners since opening in early 2022. “Wonderful hospitality, food, and ambiance. From the moment you walk in the doors until the moment you leave.”

Make reservations for special occasions at least a week in advance. Their wine list is exceptional, and the dry-aged steaks are a house specialty. The bar menu offers a more casual but equally delicious experience.

The first ice cream company in Texas, Blue Bell Creameries, was founded in 1907 in Brenham and is still beloved for its distinctive "Dutch-style" ice cream.
Founded by local farmers as the Brenham Creamery Company, Blue Bell began by making butter from excess cream before transitioning to ice cream production in 1911. The company, named after the Texas wildflower, has grown from producing 2 gallons of ice cream per day to becoming the third-best-selling ice cream brand in the United States.
